Our Garden

In 2009 a volunteer suggested the idea of a community garden where we could raise food for our soup kitchen and to give away in our food pantry.

In 1976, Manna Meal began with a simple thought of helping a man who was hungry. Now we feed over 400 people a day, 365 days a year.

We serve two meals a day, operate a food pantry, and grow our own vegetables for those in need along with raising and selling flowers to subsidies the cost of the Manna Meal Community Garden.

We also manage 150 volunteers that help us each week collect food waste throughout our community, serve meals, prepare food, clean, stock shelves and work in our garden.

Daily I see many different faces come through the doors at Manna Meal. The people that use our services are just like you and I, they struggle with life’s ups and downs and do the best they can.

Life’s circumstances are sometimes overwhelming and they get the best of us. You never know, it could happen to you. We are here for those people, so the hungry can eat, “no questions asked.”

Sincere thanks to all the volunteers that help us help others each day of each year, it takes a village.
