From the Garden August 27, 2017

We were so happy to see the Heavenly Blue Morning Glories blooming in our pollinator garden last week.  Our garden chores included turning the compost, repairing the sprinkler lines and heads, harvesting our lovely produce and chopping kudzu out of the beautiful Sycamore tree out front.  We picked 82 pounds of eggplants, 43 pounds of beets, 79 pounds of tomatoes, 38 pounds of peppers, 9 pounds of chard and 12 pounds of beans that were delivered to the Heart and Hand Food Pantry in South Charleston.

This week we will be working on Tuesday (August 29) and Saturday (September 2) mornings from 9:00 until 11:00.  We work hard and have a good time at the garden.  We always welcome new volunteers and visitors.
