From the Garden: A Special Message from Tara

Our last garden work day for the year was December 2nd.  Thanks to all of the 2017 garden volunteers, we completed the varmint proof fence and harvested 2,993 pounds of vegetables to help feed those in need.  We were so happy to meet Manna Meal's new Executive Director, Tara Martinez, who shared this special message:

In the last several weeks, as the new Executive Director of this organization, my work has focused on the processes and procedures, learning the day-to-day functions, reorganizing the framework of the business.  But within all of the technical and systematic work, I have found the absolute heart of this place.  The heart and devotion is in our staff, our volunteers, our community and our board.  As the 2017 chapter comes to a close, we look forward to continued partnership with our garden.  We are moving into a new chapter in 2018 with dedication and insight.  Beth, Tony and I have big plans for this beautiful, fruitful garden.  We look forward to you joining us in our vision for the new year and beyond.

Wishing all of our Manna Meal supporters (kitchen and garden) a Blessed and Prosperous New Year!

Most Humbly,

The season begins
