Food donations are used in various ways. Food may be used as an ingredient in one of our meals or food may also be used to help with our emergency food pantry for our clients. Manna Meal, Inc. recovers hundreds of thousands of pounds of food every year to produce our meals. We receive food from businesses, restaurants, grocery stores, hospital, catering companies, wholesalers, farms, farmer’s markets, and more!
In 2015 we collected 247,557 pounds of food. This we used in our kitchen and gave to food pantries in the valley.
Your food donation will:
- Help us create 2 meals everyday
- Minimize food waste in our community
- Minimize the harmful environmental impact of food waste
Many churches, businesses, and individuals chose to plan food drives on our behalf. If you need help in planning a food drive please contact us at 304-345-7121. We have plenty of information and experience to make your food drive a success.
